Blessed by your good hearts!

Ptr. Tom Richardson and wife Diane Richardson

I’ve been to the Asia Center for Biblical Studies (ACBS) in Majayjay, Laguna at least twelve times to teach. I have seen the great work the school is doing. I have encouraged individuals and churches to support the school because it is a good investment. I have also seen the need of the children in the area. When I was at the school last year I toured the new building that had been built on the ACBS campus to have an orphanage. But, it was empty. They had not been able to start housing children yet because there was still paperwork to be done and the right personnel to get in place. When I heard that Sander and his wife were coming to oversee the orphanage I got excited that they were coming. I immediately decided that I wanted to get involved to help equip Still Waters Children's Home so it can open and to influence anyone else I could to help too. So, I have contributed. I encourage you to contribute too. When we all join together we can see miracles happen in the lives of children. Will you join me and be a supporter too?

Let’s plant seeds of love and hope...

Let’s plant seeds of love and hope in the life of these little ones who have not only got away from their home , but who have also been robbed of their childhood, love, affection, and dignity. Support and be part of this ministry!

I am praying and asking you to make a donation and help us reach our goal of raising $1500/month for our four kids and centers monthly expenses as we start our operation. I’m confident that with Gods help, we can raise more and change the lives of many less fortunate kids here in the Philippines. God bless you all!!

CORE VALUES

Peace – We believed that peace is very significance in the life of a child. Peace is a treasure that we can’t buy nor can’t get anywhere. If there is peace there is love, and from love came out the joy and if there’s joy children can live a life full of gratitude and contentment. By that kid’s life even outside the center can be fruitful and God centered and it can be achieve only by asking and believing in one true God and that’s “Jesus.”

Compassion to Orphans- It is clear in the Bible that God called us to give care and love for the orphans. We believe that on a spiritual level, we were orphans without a Heavenly Father but GOD saved us and adopted us into His family as sons and daughters. We follow GOD’s example and our desire is to take care of and love children who are abandoned, neglected, abused, and orphaned or those who do not have families in this world to take care of them. (James 1:27)

Family Centeredness - We believe in the nurturing power of the family. We strengthen existing families and place unprotected children in safe, family-style homes. We believed that having a so called family is like a life full of hope and love.

How it all started

“Pure and undefiled religion before GOD and the FATHER is this:
to visit orphans and widows in their trouble…”
James 1:27

Still Waters Kid’s Home was first conceived in 2008 by Pastor Virgilio and Linda Jacinto who shared the vision and the plan for building the home with Myrna Lorraine Barr from Champaign, Illinois. Miss Barr had desired to be a part of an orphanage for many years. She came to the Philippines to help with the process of setting up an orphanage to serve newborn babies and children up to the age of six years old.

The Jacinto’s oversaw the construction of the building and Miss Barr oversaw the finishing work and all the paperwork associated with the project.

The land was already available for the construction on the compound of Asia Center for Biblical Studies in Majayjay, Laguna and a blue print was drawn up by Engineer Khim Dolatre for the construction of the building.

A Christian foundation heard about the plans to build the orphanage and donated $25,000 and an additional $10,000 was given by a family from the United States and the building project was begun. The construction was completed in 2010.

Still Waters Kid’s Home had not started its operation after the building has done for Ms. Barr had to leave for home in the US.Ptr. Virgilio and Linda Jacinto prayed and year 2013 month of June, Bro. Sander and Joan Rose Laqueo came and officially hired as Administrators of the SWKH. Until finally God allowed them to pursue and follow His will that is according to His words and let His love be shared to these abandoned, neglected, abused and orphaned children ages 0-6 in Majayjay, Laguna and nearby town.
